Great videos. Thanks. Oh, it's called 'potential energy' at the top which coverts to 'kinetic energy' as we move down the wave and increase our velocity - which is what you so ably showed.

This is very interesting. I am 62yo with backbone issues that prevent me from poping up "normaly". One thing I see with this technique, is that you loose time. This little time lost is crucial. To not be too far forward the wave, and go straight to the beach, you must angle the board, while sliding your knees.

This video has shown me all the ways that I stuff up my pop up! I havent been able to figure out how I keep ending up in the water but now i can see it. Knee to sternum. Cant wait to get back out in the waves and start implementing this.

Sadly, It looks like this was the end of the line. I'd like nothing more to see a reply from Tim saying he's back and on the mend for one more round. But looking for info on where he is, comes up short. In an interview back in 2019, He said he had plans for the YT channel to grow bigger. Unfortunately it looks that wont happen, Not gonna lie. I felt a loss after getting used to hearing him teach in his videos. Coming back into surfing after a 20yr break, His guidance and practices have been a huge insight to where I was going wrong all those years ago. I was getting used to watching a video every night. May you ride the sky all day long mate. RIP Tim Jones.
